Monday

Its been 3 days without my boys and each one is getting a little bit easier. However, my days are pretty different now. Its odd now that they have returned home to realize how much Kaleb and Cohen were the focus of our days. Since Kariana is such a trooper and just a generally good baby, most of our time was spent making sure the boys didn’t go stir crazy here. Now that its just Kariana and I, I feel a little lost wondering what to do with us! Luckily, the Kopka’s are here for another day so I have been tagging along with them to the park just like we used to do when the boys were here. Leah and Joe and 14-month old Cole also come along but they are kind of in the same boat I am as Cole doesn’t walk yet so they just tag along to get out of the hotel. I took them to Maku since they hadn’t been there. I think the staff recognized me since we bought so much stuff there last Friday. I restrained myself today though and just bought a little candy. Tonight the 3 of us and the kids went for a walk before supper. The afternoon turned out beautiful with blue skies and warm temps. The Kopka’s are busy with the last minute things they have to do to leave the country so they are in and out. I can’t believe they are leaving on Wednesday. Its going to be so quiet around here!

Kariana turned 6 months old yesterday. I can't beleive it. She is such a cutie. I know she has grown some since we got here because I have had to put a couple of outfits away that she doesn't fit any more that she wore just a week or two ago. She is really starting to get strong legs too. You stand her up in your lap and she used to get weak in the knees a lot but she will stand there for quite awhile now. She is still a really good sleeper though. Last night I put her down at 9 pm and she didn’t get up until 8:15!! I’m going to become a real lazy bones with those kind of hours. I don’t get up until she gets up but we are going to be in trouble when I go back to work if this keeps up. I think I’m going to have to start setting an alarm so we get up at a decent time and get going. She is still taking a morning nap (even after sleeping 11 hours!), an afternoon nap and most of the time a short evening nap after supper. You forget how much they sleep!

  2. Cresta! She is precious! What out for those little girls though....they do grow mighty fast!!! I can't wait to meet her someday and see the boys again! They are too darn cute and they will be great big brothers! We were just back in IA and had a surprise party for mom. Saw Mom 2 and Dad 2 there! Mom 1 was really shocked we pulled it off. Ashlynn is growing and learning new things everyday. We gave your mom two big garbage bags of girl clothes for Kariana. Gotta love hand-me-downs! They have saved me and my pocket book! She is adorable, Cresta and I am so excited for you and your family! Enjoy!!!

    Lots of Love

  4. Cresta-I got to see your boys tonight and they are doing well. The boys had fun getting wet at National Night Out. Love your updates. They will be something for Kariana to look back on as well as the boys. Enjoy your sister when she comes down. Can't wait to see you when she comes back.
