Kerry and I finished up the wallpapering in Kariana's room this weekend and it looks so great! I love the red. I can't wait to see her crib up in it but we have determined that will have to wait to see if we have time to put it together after our packing is done. We have started 'gathering' things so our pile is getting bigger although no official packing has taken place yet. We are slowly crossing stuff off our list of things to do (stop the mail, arranged our rides to and from the airport, etc) but not as quickly as I would like. There are only so many hours in the day!
We have been confirmed at Hotel Paris which was our first choice for hotel so that is exciting to have it taken care of. There are 3 other Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota families staying there right now so we shoud have the staff speaking with a Minnesota accent in no time! At least 2 of the familes have some older children too so there should be plenty of playmates for the boys to play with.
Kerry and I got our last fingerprints taken care of yesterday in St. Paul so now we really are cleared to go. Our background checks for the Department of Homeland Security were going to expire while we are gone so we had to renew them at a federal location. That makes 6 times to have our fingerprints taken now with two fo them done in St. Paul.
We can't beleive that we will be holding our daughter in 4 days. Kerry and I determined yesterday that it hasn't really hit either of us and isn't quite real yet. I suppose it will seem more real when we are in the air!
